    Net Neutrality

So what's the script here then?

How/Does the vote in the USA affect us in the UK?

It means providers will be allowed to prioritise (or block) some internet traffic over others.

Net neutrality is currently enforced here by EU rules so watch this space ...

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure we had net neutrality before these EU laws, so who's to say we couldn't make our own laws?

When it comes to the big boys squeezing out the little man, controlling net content and promoting their own interests, I'm sure we can trust the Conservative government to really get behin.....

    Oh bugger! 🙁

UK ISP’s have all signed a voluntarily code of conduct around Net Neutrality. The difference in the UK, compared to the US is that we have a much more competitive internet/telecommunication market place.

Although, given that Net Neutrality is protected by EU laws, and given the Tories are keen to sign new trade deals with anyone, at any cost, I wouldn’t be surprised to see US ISP’s eyeing up the UK as a potential market for them in the future.
