    Hibs Friendly Pub in Aberdeen

As posted a couple of weeks ago, the North East Scotland Hibernians are having a wee festive get together after the game on Saturday. Our home pub in Aberdeen is Halo Bar & Kitchen on Crown Street, just off Union Street about half way up, opposite the Music Hall. Anyone staying over after the game is welcome to join us. Good sports bar, loads of screens for the City v Spurs game a decent home cooked scran.

It opens at 11am so time for a couple pints pre-match and there's a taxi office right next door to get us to the game. Taxi should cost about £6-£8.

Thanks for that. Think me and the hubby will come in post match as our train is at 4pm.

What's the easiest way there after the game? Think one of our group might struggle with a long walk.

You can get the bus from King Street to Union Street (I think buses 1 and 2). It wouldn't be much in a taxi either for a group.

In Aberdeen on Friday going to stay over for game on Saturday.

Any Hibs going for a few refreshments the night before game or tips on decent pubs.

Town will be heaving with the once a year Christmas brigade. What type of pub you looking for?

5 if us heading up on the 7.20 train. Any recommendations of where to head to when we get there before your place opens at 11?

Slains is quite a cool pub, and O'Neils isn't too bad. Also Soul is not bad if staying up on Friday.

One piece of advice I would give is that getting a taxi in Aberdeen is probably harder than in any other Scottish city, particularly on a Christmas shopping Saturday - so bear that mind when planning timings.

    It sure is.

I really need to visit Aberdeen again rather than occasionally asking which bits have changed in the last 20 years

Used to enjoy a few pints in Ma Camerons back in the day.

I hope everyone heading up tonight and tomorrow has an enjoyable time with something to celebrate at full time.

I used to work there a number of years ago, they were just putting in an upstairs beer garden type thing to cater for the smoking ban when I got the boot! Missed a shift at the same time as Slovenia v Scotland (won 3-0 iirc) to play poker, having asked for it off to watch the football. Would like to go back and see the place one day.

A good gathering of Hibs fans post match in a very decent bar. Cheers to The North East Scotland Hibernians for inviting others along to their festive gathering, and turned a disappointing lunchtime into an enjoyable afternoon. Hope the rest of night went well
