I have an Amazon Echo and like the fact I can just say BBC radio Scotland and on it comes.
I can listen to Off the Ball and part of Sportssound but when it gets near kick off it switches to a recording of Richard Gordon repeating the message " due to rights reasons this program is not available"
I then need to hunt out the iPad to go online and listen from there.
Is this normal ?
Is Sportssound and open all Mics only available online ?

Had the same issue, would be great if someone's aware of a workaround.

Is there something you can do to the device's settings, to change your location? (And I realise you've probably already tried that, because you almost certainly know more about these things than I do.)

Location based. Can't broadcast outside the UK and somehow your device looks like it is.

Are you chaps with Virgin?
I've looked up my location through some websites and discovered I live in a commercial centre in Milton Keynes!
Perhaps the English are spared!Space to let

You can download their own MW Player that gives you the live broadcasts on Sportsound, Tunein radio app and the likes all get the broadcast blocked message.

Don't know about the Echo mate, I have the same prob with my phone using Tunein and it aint available on IPlayer either, it's annoying but the BBC MW player plays it. I've no idea if you can play that via the Echo though.

Anyone find a fix to this?
New to the same problem.
Guessing having the MW player and bluetoothing it could work.
