Thread: Efe Ambrose

    Efe Ambrose

Thought he deserved a thread. He was outstanding today, a player who leaves you on the edge of your seat but when it works out for him he cruises through games. Defensively I thought he was good throughout and he really drove us forward at the end. Only one who looked comfortable on the ball first 60 mins

He’s been top class all season, especially in big games.

I'd say he was neck and neck with McGinn for man of the match. Read the game superbly.
Mature, sensible signature required for responsible position. Good prospects for the right candidate. Apply within.

When his head is on the game (as it was today and it tends to be during big games) then he's one of the best players in the league.

It is when his concentration goes and he starts to take liberties against weaker opponents that his performance drops.

Some of his anticipation and basic defending during that first half was absolutely superb (that's before you get anywhere near his composure and skill on the ball at times).

Worthy of his thread today, and worthy of the praise that will inevitably come his way.

He was outstanding today, strolled through the game.

When he's good, he's very, very good.

Efe was great today. Looked cool and composed throughout. Our MOTM in my opinion.

I think the media silence on Efe says it all, they were just waiting to jump on him for errors when he signed given some of his performances at Celtic, haven't heard a peep given his performances this year.

    Fantastic player.

If he ends up making a few mistakes now I’ll accept it as he’s generally a joy to watch.

He was fantastic today, read the game superbly, none of his dallying on the ball which is his downfall at times.

Ambrose is one of the most gifted players we have and we are privileged to have him pull on a Hibernian shirt.

He was phenomenal today. As were most of the team. But as said above when he’s fully focused he’s indispensable to us! Love the guy

We are lucky to have a player of his ability.

MOTM for me and left me wondering how things might have played out if he'd started at RB with Daz at CH because Whitty had a mare today, not himself at all. Same with Dylan in the middle, most unusual.

Dylan simply didn't have the time he would against other teams in the league imo

I'd love to see Efe come through and play further forward a lot more, he goes past players easily enough, and he normally plays a good ball into Boyle or whoever is up top.

I often wonder if he could do a job in midfield?

What a great player to have at the club.

Would be interesting to see him let off his leash in midfield.

Definitely my MOM he was solid, and there was one moment when he needed to change gears and he was lightning fast! He looks like he is playing in slow motion often, and strolls through games..

Also, he is miles better than Boyata who looks like Efe on a bad day

I'd like to see Efe playing in a defensive midfield position at some point. He was only converted to playing in defence at Celtic.
A very natural ball footballer who I think would offer more options in midfield.

I reckon he could be a good right back for us with daz in the middle. Believe he plays at full back internationally

He was a class above yesterday for me. Can't wait to see him against Rangers on Wed's. He takes the big games in his stride.

    No backflips for his celebration

I get it, respect for his former employer. Griffiths would have done the same if he'd scored against us. You can't have it both ways

He bossed the game but I still wanted back flips!!

Having the audacity to shoot from 75 yards gives him the edge in the MOTM stakes. Love the big guy!
