    Anyone Remember?

Trying to remember a derby game I went to as a young lad, must have been late sixities/early seventies.
I'm sure it was before the 7-0 game (was at that one too).
Hibs won 3-1 at Tyncastle and my only memories of the game were walking back along Dalry Road towards Haymarket after the game and the Hibs fans were celebrating. They just took over the whole road walking in a big crowd and holding up the traffic. I'll never forget when an Edinburgh bus went by everyone boo'd the marroon and white bus but when an Eastern Scottish bus went by (Green and White) everyone cheered it.

Funny how it's the only part of the occassion I can remember so would like to know if anyone else has any memories of that game.

Could have been this one. I can't think of another similar score around that time. Score was 2-0 to us. Cropley and Hamilton scored.

Try searching the London Hearts website. It's excellent for stats - amazingly.

I can remember a 2-0 when Alex Cropley and Johnny Hamilton scored, and a 2-1 in the Cup when John Hazel and Arthur Duncan scored. Both in 1971 I think. But not a 3-1. There was also a 4-1 when Pat Quinn scored a hat-trick (1967?).

Might have been the famous 2-1 cup win on 13 Feb 1971. Duncan scored the winner. But you would surely have remembered that one!

I think that must be the game a bit earlier than I remember, must have been Paddy Quinn's hat-trick that stuck in the memory. What a team that was before the Tornadoes too.

    Thanks to everyone that replied

That was the game I thought of. Arthur scoring the winner.
I remember a Hibby fan saying to my mate & I as we walked towards Slateford Road, "That was better than a ****. "

I remember a derby in 1968 when we won 4-1 A Pat Quinn hat trick and I think Peter Cormack scored the other one. I remember walking back along Gorgie Road after that game too. The first time I has seen Hibs win at Tynie
