What was changed today from our successful last 4 wins?
The whole shape and formation was changed to try accommodate Billy big baws!!
Why McGeoch was on bench and Stokes started was baffling.
Stokes looked completely lost and totally uninterested from the start.
McGeoch is our best player, if he was fit enough to come on then he was fit enough to start.

Stokes - Billy big baws

McGeouch wasn't fit enough for 90 minutes, hence why he was left on the bench. You really think Lennon, who's been fill.of praise for DMs form, would not have him in the starting line up if possible??
As for your disrespect to Stokes, who if you recall played a significant part in a certain cup win, the man is allowed a bad game. He will be just as disappointed as you in his performance, hardly makes him "billy big balls".

Well we've had Tall Players , Skinny players , Fat players , Thin players and Cirrcumsized players.
Might as well have a big baws playerNo Eternal Reward Shall Forgive Us Now For Wasting The Dawn

He's one of the players most commonly found seeking data for post match analysis on how to improve. Hardly Billy Big Baws.

Unless he gets the ball to his feet, he has no interest in moving to try chase it down.

If he wasn't fully fit, and he starts and need subs off its a sub used and it disrupts the team compared to using him as an impact if the player reckons he's only good for 30 minutes or so.

Total nonsense thread. Stokes won us the Dundee game by playing very well 2nd half. Its Barker that should be dropped.
''billy big baws'' is the only one who looked like scoring today.

I'm not the biggest fan of Stokes but the "not interested" comments are ****ing lazy and wildly incorrect.

Can’t disagree that Stokes, apart from the penalty, didn’t do a lot. The boy clearly has a lot of technical ability but doesn’t seem to put much effort in.. also agree McGeough should have started, even if he could only last first half, could give us the advantage instead of chasing yet another game at home.

You mean the Billy Big Baws that scored twice in our Scottish Cup win?
McGeouch, I agree is our best player. He was on the bench because he limped off v Dundee and isn't fully fit.

From what I could see it was Boyle and Barker who were snuffed out effectively by the saints defence starving our forwards of a decent in ball, if I could see that why couldn’t Lenny? the whole shape was towards the successful wing play that’s brought us results recently, he should have changed things as soon as they opened the scoring as it just wasn’t happening for us. Stokesy was the least of our problems

Baffling that Stokes started?
This thread was started in an attempt to be billy Big baws.

Stokes wasn't the problem, yes he didn't have great game but Barker is not a starter, very much an impact player and if you want to accuse anyone of being lazy you could accuse Barker, doesn't try leg most of the time, has a few wee tricks but nothing else, platters to deceive. Team shape was all wrong, we needed another midfielder there, baffled why Slivka didn't start and have a front 3 of Stokes, Murray and Boyle.

Stokes should've been off at half time. So many poor first touches, so many misplaced passes and no sign of this wonderful work ethic people talk about. At one point the ball was dropping between Stokes and McGinn about 5-10 yards from each. Stokes didn't move, not even an inch. McGinn didn't make a move towards the ball, it bounced, people shouted and McGinn went and got the ball. Stokes still standing stationary. Every time he lost the ball he gave up chasing back almost immediately and then looked to blame his teammate.
He had an absolute stinker and the reluctance to take him off is getting annoying. He is a member of the team like any other.

I don't know how keen Stokesy would be to be described as"Billy" big baws but yes he looked disinterested and made little effort. It's not the first time, there were plenty outings like that before the 21st May and that's what you get from him. You also get some really good performances and I think he's been pretty consistent this season.
I think he's one of these characters who will play when he's in the mood but it doesn't take much for him to not be in the mood. Not the most professional approach but if he was more focused he wouldn't be at ER.
He shouldn't be guaranteed a place but there were plenty others who deserved to be hooked yesterday. It was a bad day all round yesterday so maybe unfair to single him out ?

Too many people been listening to that idiot Thomson in the papers. Stokes puts the effort in. Stokes is ahead of most in our team in terms of technique and ability to change a game. He had a poor game yesterday where nothing came off for him but it wasn't through lack of effort, was Murray being ***** yesterday down to a lack of effort? Or Boyle? Seems like stokes is an easy target when we don't win. The laziness thing is as big a myth as "stokes was ***** in the championship". He wasn't ***** in the championship, he didn't score lots of goals but he contributed in other ways.

I’m finding it hard to imagine how Lennon would allow a billy big balls type of mentality to persist. Can’t see it.

I like Stokes, offers that something special at times. Yesterday he was poor but no worse than the rest! I do think Lennon got it wrong yesterday but that’s just me. Sure we’ll be back to winning ways soon enough.

Last time out Stokes came on and changed the game, hence his deserved inclusion.

Stokes was poor yesterday, but I don't think he had a bad attitude - just a poor game.
Very consistent when we get pens though.
Stokes offers a wee bit of magic now and again, well worth the start yesterday after saving the day last time out.
