Just watched Paul Lambert backed from 9/1 into 5/2 favourite for the Scotland job.
Bookies never wrong.

They merely react to betting patterns.

He's still 9/1 with Betfred, 8/1 with PP.

Him being 5/2 effectively means he is 4/11 not to get it

It probably got suspended when they knew he was signing for someone else.

Paul Lambert would be brilliant and add a needed freshness! Here’s hoping..

In terms of adding a freshness I think we must be thinking of different Paul Lamberts.

I think PL left his freshness in Norwich.

He's a Dundee fan is he not?
But he started out at Rangers, he made his breakthrough at St Mirren and his Dad played for United.

I do think regardless of what happens in the play offs he won’t be able to achieve much more with norn iron so it’ll be the right time for him to move on from there.
Fwiw I’m not convinced he’d be the right man for the job, I think managers that have done really well in one particular job can sometimes have just found themselves in the right place at the right time and with the right group of players they can almost manage themselves. (This was the reason I was concerned about Butcher coming to Hibs).
I’ve no idea who I do want to get it, Once Allardyce was ruled out I’ve not heard one name linked who I’d want to get it.

Lambert has said a couple of times he sees his future as a manager away from Scotland so doesn't strike me as being committed in anyway to a role he's now "interested " in. He'd be gone at the first chance
Plus I think he's a prick.
So it's a no from me
