SFA should have told st.johnstone to make sure all floodlights are working....of course they are to blame :)

The whole Scotland set up stinks from top to bottom.

under 21s struggling against rubbish with 10 men.
Malky Mackay as manager of full team(even temporarily)
making 3 subs in a meaningless friendly, bringing on Mulgrew in the process....and giving Gordon 90 mins..etc etc etc etc etc etc etc

    I strongly believe.....even I could could a better job.

Is it possible to do worse? Taking into account that we need to look to the future!

Porteous captains the 19s and Murray is also in that squad.

Taking the green tinted specs off, I don't think the likes of Shaw can complain about not being in that squad. A lot of them are a bit older and getting first team football.

Sorry but whoever picks the players for under21....Really does not have a clue!

Who should have been picked instead?

Don’t think you can argue with the team selection tonight, all guys who are either playing at a high level down south or first team regular in SPFL. Just struggled so badly for creativity and end product. Yeah

What good is Porteus and Shaw going to get from Under19s,when first squad players...and are better than players in their positions in under 21.

I assume Burke is injured as if he is fit and not playing international football......it's nothing short of criminal.

    whatever happened to Gauld also????

Though tobe honest....I'm no expert on the younger players outside of Hibs.

but if that is the up and coming players.....we're nothing short of Donald Ducked!!!

For a non expert you seem to have a lot to say about it

Porteous is only 18 and only had a handful of appearances to his name. He was talking not so long ago about playing against some French boy for the 19s that Barca want to sign for 30 million or something so he'll get plenty out of that. His time will come.

Shaw needs to be getting some time on the pitch at Hibs before he can even think about the 21s. The boy that started up front came off the bench for Swansea at the weekend so he's a fair bit away.

Makes sense right enough that a guy who has played a total of 17 minutes for an absolutely rank EPL team, and averaged a goal every 500 minutes of play in Swansea reserves should get a game ahead of Oli Shaw.....Who absolutely smashes it in development league.

If that is the future of Scottish Football......God help us!

Development league doesn't even get players ready for first team football never mind international.

I can't help but agree with you bud. Sometimes life is a mystery, why for instance was Cumdog not on last night instead of Phillips? Why did Sportsound tonight bring on two ex players to talk about the game last night who both agreed at the start they did not like friendly games? why is the likes of Oli Shaw not in the under 21 team?

Sometimes it should be left to Sculder and Mully to investigate .

Completely off topic, but was looking up Swansea's squad to see who the Scottish u21 playing for them is, and noticed that they don't have a single Welsh player in their entire squad. Find that pretty depressing
