Ian Henry. I was at Berwick that day but don't think it wasA New Year's game. We were keen to see him as he was a new signing but he got a broken leg in the 1st minute and never started a hibs game again.
Leg break was timed at 15 seconds.

Does anyone know where I can find more info regarding the non-playing members in 1903? There is a long standing family story that a relative was involved in the early days of the Club and this photo is the only evidence we have. He’s called McPhee, standing in the back row wearing a suit so perhaps some committee member?

Until 21/05/16 this was one of our most famous teams and I’m
stll astonished there is a family connection!

    Marinello.. circa 1969??

    I wanted to be him.

Alan Lugton's books are pretty detailed when it comes to committee members and the likes.

If you can't get hold of a copy, give me a shout and I'll have a look at mine.

Alan McPhie (McPhee alternative spelling sometimes used) was on the Hibernian Committee from 1897 to 1903 when he was made a Director, until his death on 4th September 1903.

    Stuart Turnbull.

He got shouted at. A lot.
He was brutal,1-1 game v hertz 83 when Bobby Thomson scored a cracker, they invaded the park, he then missed a sitter when it was easier too score, prob scared to put the ball in the net because they would have wrecked the place

A comically bad player. Sadly, the laughs just kept coming.

Cracking pic. From the days when we cleared the snow from terracing, but left the snow on the pitch.

And it seems we have the North Korean Revolutionary Workers Party on the terracing. Everyone in black overcoats and not a stitch of green anywhere!!!

And what a player, check out the pass for Alan Gordon’s first goal in the 0-7 it was just sublime, best passer of a ball I ever saw, Alex was the man that made the tornadoes tick !
