How can a plastic seat from one of Scotlands most important historical sites be worth £75 when a £3 plastic owl made in China 5 minutes ago sells for £4000?

AND who would have thought it eh? 2 muppets were actually in a bidding war for this glorious piece that will no doubt one day end up in the British Museum beside the Elgin Marbles.

As the bids began to stagnate around £90, it turns out that there were TWO seats available, and that has now raised the astonishing amount of £180 towards the god-knos-how-much-the-overspend-is-up-to-about-4 million-by-now-probably.

£180 raised !!!!! the Children In Need telethon must be cacking it, they'd never be able to raise that in 3 days.

Now, if they could only find another 44,444.44 seats to sell then they might just do it.
