I really like this idea. He has done well there in the few occasions he's played in the centre. It doesn't do any harm to have some pace at the centre of defence either. We would lose his attacking threat but Robertson is good going forward and we have to use a formation that accommodates the best players we have.

I'd like to see Paterson on the right, Robertson on the left and Tierney at left centre-back. Not sure there's one outstanding candidate for right-sided centre back at the moment.

I like Andrew70's idea of Brown, Armstrong and McGinn in the centre of midfield too. I was also very impressed by Ryan Christie against us at Easter Road (particularly 1st half) and feel he could play just off a lone striker.

Tierney at left back and Robertson Left Mid would be interesting. Could dovetail a wee bit and both have excellent delivery.

Delighted for Paul Hanlon, it's richly deserved but the omission of Dylan McGeouch is inexplicable.

Very disappointed not to see him in the squad.
