    The most beautiful tracks

I've just been listening to The Lonely Shepherd by Zamfir and the Blade Runner love theme by Vangelis and they're both truly beautiful.

If we were to make a Hibs.net playlist of beautiful tracks, which would you nominate?

PS. Listen to the songs I mentioned when you're ready to be chilled.

I know the lonely shepherd from the Kill Bill film but didn't know the song by name. Beautiful.

I have to go for Hans Zimmer - Time(Inception).

    Svefn-g-Englar by Sigur Ros.

Particularly the live version. An unbelievably brilliant piece of music.

Good shout with Fake Plastic Trees.

Would add Street Spirit (Fade Out) and How to Disappear Completely to Radiohead's list as well.

If you're a fan of the Blade Runner soundtrack, might I recommend checking out the game soundtracks for both Deus Ex Human Revolution and Deus Ex Mankind Divided (both composed by Michael McCann).

On that note, the Icarus Theme from DEHR is definitely one I'd nominate.
Madness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. All it takes is a little push.

The Deus Ex games have some very good music in them.

Max Richter's The Leftovers soundtrack is definitely in the'beautiful music' category.

Reminded me of the haunting Vangelis track, ‘To The Unknown Man’, used by BBC for it’s ‘Snooker’ theme tune many moons ago.

    Sealand - OMD

I could probably list hundreds that could be termed "beautiful" but that's the first one that comes to mind.

OMD were a band that jumped to mind when I saw this thread, I couldn't settle on a track though.

OMD - Stanlow - beautiful song about an oil refinery (IIRC).

Clannad - theme from Harry's game

...or going deeper into folkie territory - Norland Wind by Davy Steele/Battlefield Band

Davy (RIP) was a great guy whose voice could make me greet at the best of times, but this song really does it for me.

The Clannad and Lennon tunes are the only ones I know on the whole thread, probably heard some of the others right enough.
