What sort of fraud can he internet related, for a football club
It's probably just the usual poor choice of language in their communications. It will be related to their banking.

Fraud and cyber crime accounts for nearly 50% of all crime reported now.

Why are they releasing this info tonight?
Budge is a 'shrewd' woman with a reputation to maintain and also a willingness to be less than open and honest with their support when they **** things up. They probably weren't going to mention it until this blew up.

Most companies work on having an order number given for each order, generally you have to a customer checked out before dealing with them, that’s my experience of this sort of possible scam

    The irony.

Quite a lot of irony around Tynecastle way - the save the children shirts, now this.

Gary MacKay should write a story about it all. He'd probably win a medal for it.

Does that account for the "forgotten" seats? Did some Asian business man score 80g's from the yaks?

That’s what I was thinking. Weren’t the seats originally coming from China. How much does a maroon plastic seat cost😎

I put a link on the thread about Hamilton, the Hearts example could be similar. All speculation of course

You would think an IT person would recognize that an invoice for plastic seats payable in bitcoin was highly suspicious.

Due to an extraordinary good summer in Nigeria and a unusually high yield in our potato crop, we are pleased to be able to offer one lorry load of our finest potatoes at £80K delivered to anywhere in the UK. Ideal for chips. Bank transfer or big bag of cash would be wonderful.

Maulary Martin also did a bang on impersonation of a footballer and scammed a three and a half year contract as well.
Been seen hooting with laughter of a Saturday sitting outside cafes in George Street while being paid handsomely for his trouble by the Yams. Doesn't even make the squad most weeks.

Was described by the deluded as being a dead ball expert prior to becoming a well paid Edinburgh tourist.
