Celtc just struggled to beat Dundee and we were very close to beating them at Darkheid. Of course we have a chance of winning,

Hopefully sales pick up this week

Thanks Sean. Must say I’m disappointed with the sales so far. School holiday week, and lack of kids pricing hasn’t helped, but I’m surprised sales are so low. Other than that, I’m not sure why so many aren’t going

Averaging - well - less than one ticket sold per season ticket holder.

I think the fact it's Celtic and is on TV is a big factor. I could be wrong, but my hunch is quite a few folk are thinking they may as well save the time and money of watching a defeat. We all know it's a long shot, but strange things happen in sport: look at Palace beating the English champions on Saturday.

I would challenge those people's definition of supporter.

Their unbeaten run has to end sometime and it's a chance to get to a cup final. Why would you not want to be there and witness that?

They'll be massive favourites to win, just like they are in every domestic game just now but there's only four teams who can win the League Cup this season and we're one of them.

TV yes, but we took a big support to the Dons semi last April, was on a Saturday at the same time, and on TV
We’ve got a good chance on Saturday, I’m fully expecting us to go and win

The ridiculous kids prices will also put off families.

Only if they are looking for excuses - £10 a ticket is excellent value.

Personally wouldnt miss it. Chance to end their run and get to another final. Wish ticket sales were so slow for away games at celtic, sevco and hearts

We beat Rangers in the semi at Hampden with one man and his dog in the stands. 10k would be decent for a league cup semi through the west

  16. #75
Really hope sales pick up to a decent number. Would be weird to sell less tickets for a semi final than we do on a regular basis at ER.

No it wouldn't. We've been getting at least 5k more than that for home games for the last year, why people who are going to easter road regularly for games are passing up the chance to see us get to a final is beyond me

We've had a great turnout at Hampden in recent years. It looks like this is just one of those games where its just not selling for differing reasons. Shame really.

We should of never of asked for half. Were never going to sell 20k.

Rangers got 38,000 for the semi v Motherwell. Can you imagine how the melt down on here, if we’d given Celtic similar

I was reasonably optimistic we'd sell close to 20,000. For me the novelty value of playing Celtic in a semi-final is an added attraction, and if we win it'll be a famous victory given the circumstances of their long unbeaten run.
I'm no-one's idea of an uberfan (I rarely attend away games) but I can't imagine not cheering the boys on in a semi-final. I do think the school hols aren't helping however, as plenty folk will have booked trips away before we got through.

    Who's embarrassed?

I'm going but if others don't want to go it's their call.

I know some people still away for October kids break.

It would be embarrassing to have a half empty Hibs end, mate. Yes there are a number of factors holding down sales, but it would be a sad sight in a huge game.

If it's true we have only sold 10k that's a poor show but it's expensive times at the moment with a derby next week too and it's very costly for people with kids. Not everyone can afford 2/3 matches per week...harsh realities of life nowadays. After such a good crowd on Sat it's disappointing tho

Hopefully if the sales are poor its because the "Where can i get a drink in Glasgow at 7AM" brigade are giving it a miss. The sight of punters falling about at midday in front of young kids is always a sure fire winner.

It's ridiculous if anyone is using this as an excuse. National semi final and thousands of the cheaper tickets still available.

True. Hopefully a lot of folk are just leaving it late, knowing there are plenty available.
