    Good post.

Id agree in that I'm far from outraged by those who could go but have chosen not too and for some, if its family or money then that's totally understandable.

Its the people who have no real reason not too or that fear getting beat that kinda concern me, the posts on here gloating as you put it about not going, wtf is that all about?

I mentioned on another post that I couldn't be anywhere else tomorrow other than hampden supporting Hibernian, however I'm not quite sure all those who aren't going are comfortable with it, especially those who come on here and give it the large one about not going, sounds more like guilt to me.....

    GGTTH.
We all have reasons for not attending. Who are we to judge? I had a season ticket for the past couple of seasons but this season for one reason or another I couldn't justify getting one both financially and logistically (living near Blackpool) it took a lot of soul searching believe me. Im going tomorrow but know Im in real danger of not getting a final ticket (should we win obviously) because Im not a current season ticket holder. Thats life I guess.

Not judging anyone but do have an opinion.

And with the greatest respect, you will notice that I do mention at the top of my last post, family and money as 2 good reasons as to why someone couldn't attend.

I couldn't live with myself if I decided not to go to a Hibs game cos I thought we were going to get beat.

Has never happened and never will.

I knew our team on the Saturday night before we played them in the cup semi in 2006 and I also knew we would probably get turned over, didn't go through my mind for a nanosecond not to go though.

Some of my favourite Hibs games are ones that I went to not expecting a lot.

If we can get to half time drawing or in front I think we have a fighting chance of winning. Celtic have lost a few dodgy semi finals in recent seasons at Hampden, Ross County, St.Mirren, ICT, Rangers and Ross County again to name a few.

Maybe Im just a bit warped I dont know, but in some senses Im more likely to show up for a game where the general thought is that we have no chance. A kind of backs up against the wall, the lads need us sort of thing. As fans Im sure we'll give it our best shot tomorrow despite looking like being severely out numbered. Celebrations will be wild if we pull it off and if we lose then we'll stand together, Hibs forever.

If we win this and have Rangers in the final, there is every chance we are limited to c13k tickets, One per ST. I dont think we can argue for more.

Don't worry, we're playing Motherwell in the Final.

Of course, that means we'll then start demanding more than half of the available capacity...

Absolutely. If we were all the same it would be a boring world. Everyone is entitled to an opinion.

    Hope your trip is worthwhile!

I'm really struggling to understand how a game v Motherwell can attract around 5,000 more Hibs fans than a semi final v Celtic. Even allowing for the season ticket numbers we currently have, that still leaves around 3,500 walk ups who attended the Motherwell game who aren't going tomorrow.

    Very strange indeed.

So we are taking 11500k+ to Glasgow for a 1215 tv game against the top team in the country. I dont think thats too bad to be honest despite some of the folk who cant be bothered....folk who would be there tomorrow if it was the final.
If we take 12000 it will be one of the best travelling supports of any non old firm team to hampden for a league cup semi in the last 20 years. Also the expected overall crowd will be the highest non old firm derby crowd at this stage in that period also. A quick look at attendances shows some extremely low crowds with our near neighbour's playing 4 semi's at Easter Road with overall crowds of 12000 (twice)14,000 and 16,000 and i think a 9,000 at Fir Park in another semi. Given the KO time, live on TV and the fact that many fans will be away on October school break holidays i think our 12,000 is quite healthy.

    Not possible.

The Hibs ticket office closed at 5pm today and won't be open in the morning.

There's no ticket sales from Hampden.

Genuinely surprised and abit dissapointed in the amount of fans who are going. I know it's hard as people have other excuses but this team deserves the support. The club is going to hampden in best condition it has been in for years. If you're not going cause you think we will get beat and it's ok tv then shame on you.

Going to be embarrassing seeing the gaps in the stadium from our part tbh.

....and more than the number of fans Hearts took to their 2014 league cup semi in Edinburgh at ER.

So after 11 pages we are still waiting for a list of League Cup Semi-Finals that kicked off at lunchtime, were on TV and where we took over 12,000 supporters.
Or even a 3pm kick off?

Could this whole thread have simply been fake news? Maybe 12,000 is the biggest crowd we have ever had at a League Cup semi final? 😎

There has been some real crap sprouted in this thread.

Hibs have NEVER taken 20,000 or anything near to that to a League Cup Semi-Final. I may be wrong but the attendance at Hampden could be the highest ever for a SLC SF at Hampden, maybe anywhere? How many did Hibs take to Tynecastle for the two SFs against St Johnstone and the one against Dundee United?

Hibs have played Rangers twice at Hampden in SLC SFs drawing 40,901 during the Alex Miller era and 27,954 under Blobby Williamson. The other Hampden SFLC SF was against Ayr United under Franck Sauzée which had 11,779 in attendance.

Even in the Scottish Cup, with matches held on Saturday or Sunday, it is doubtful if Hibs have taken 20,000 to any SF.

The best attended was 43,180 against Hearts and Hibs probably contributed 37,000 or so to that crowd. The next best was against Aberdeen last season with 31,969. Hibs had more than the Dons there but not that many more.

In the Cup winning season, there were 19,651 there in the SF against Dundee United. The worst attended was the replay against Dunfermline with 8,536. Most were in the region of 22,000 to 27,000.

Hibs have played Cetlic in a SC SF that was held at Ibrox with 40,950 in attendance and huge gaps in the Hibs allocation. Celtic were hopping mad because they could have sold more tickets had they been allocated them. There were only 32,410 there for the replay with gaps in both sides of the stadium.

I can think of four semi finals (all Scottish Cup) that have seen just over 20k Hibs fans.
    2016 v Aberdeen - just under 32k with Aberdeen taking 11500.
    2007 v Dunfermline - 25.5k with Pars taking just over 5000.
2005 v Dundee Utd - just over 27k with Utd taking about 5000
    2001 v Livingston - 25k with Livingston taking 4.5k

However your point does stand in that 12000 Hibs fans attending a League Cup semi is about average.

    Well said Scoops.

So instead of celebrating possibly our best ever support for a League Cup semi-final in spite of landing in the school holidays, early kick-off and televised we end up gorging yam-like on a fake news theory about low turnout?

It''s only a problem on message boards not in the stands today!! Gerrintaethem GGTTH! NLGWA!

Yeh I know at least two regulars who just can’t make through today for family reasons - possibly three.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with wishing we could fill our end and giving our team maximum support possible as it’s gonna take some effort to turn over this Celtc team. We all just need to shout twice as loud!

I haven't missed a semi in twenty fiveish years but we have a family thing in Dundee which we'd booked before we qualified. Watching it on telly there.

I'm gutted not to be going.
