    Train from Edinburgh to Glasgow Today (merged)

    My eldest son who is travelling Edinburgh-Glasgow-Manchester by train this morning tells me all trains to Glasgow are disrupted/cancelled at present as a train drove through a red light and buckled the tracks! He's having to go to Glasgow by bus. Something for anyone going to Darkheid by train to be aware of.

    Train to Glasgow

    Just to let anyone planning on getting the train through today, there is major disruption today and no trains are expected to leave Edinburgh before 12:00.

    Nope. Network Rail are on sight and they are hoping to get two of the lines open soon but even then services are going to be really reduced. Will try and keep this up to date.

    How long do we have to suffer this bilge about this train service it'll the M8? The fact is that the infrastructure in this country is third world standard and the sooner we become independent and make a major investment in this the better.
