Motherwell seem to have a lot of luck with goalkeeper mistakes.

I think it will be a Glasgow affair in one semi and us v well/sheep in other.
The powers that be will want to guarantee at an old firm game and this is their chance to do it

Moult really does know where the back of the net is!! If Motherwell win, I think they get The Rangers in the semi. If Aberdeen win, then I think it's a Celtic vs The Rangers semi. The powers that be want a Glasgow Derby so it's too dangerous for The Rangers to be drawn against Aberdeen or Hibs.

The group stage format was a joke but I'm enjoying these midweek League Cup games. Good to be involved too.

I'm going to hide from this place for a week when we lose to Motherwell in the semi final.

Only seing stills but are Aberdeen playing in light blue?
Their fans surely won't like them looking like Rangers.

It's more of a shiny St Johnstone-y shade of blue.
Darker than Coventry but lighter than, ach, you get the idea.

motherwell of course would be the better draw on paper for the semi, however they don't look a bad side at all and would be a very tough game.

That said though, I think they are a team in good form playing with confidence and have a lot of momentum just now rather than actually being a great side. By the time the semis come around I think there's a fair chance their form will have dipped.
dont know much about the Motherwell squad but I suspect a couple of injuries and suspensions could cause them a lot of bother.

Fair play to their fans who choose to support them rather than the old firm however they've punched above their weight nearly my whole life. Is it not about time they were ***** for a while?!
Not sure I wish relegation on them as they are the sort of club that could struggle to recover but a spell battling relegation wouldn't go amiss.

Aberdeen have looked average at best tonight, Motherwell have been really impressive.
