I really like Al Murray. I once had a discussion about him in a pub. The guy was claiming he was an ignorant English bigot and just didn't get the point that he was taking the P out of the stereotypical Englishman. I think he's very clever.

I dont link Al Murray as the pub landlord, the 'act' is old and boring now imo. I seen him on something as just a normal Al Murray and have to say I found him pretty funny. Maybe its time he ditched his alter ego or came up with a new one

    Frankie Boyle.

Was quite funny a decade ago. Now he's so obviously just saying things for the shock value it's boring.
PM Awards General Poster of The Year 2015, 2016, 2017. Probably robbed in other years

I'd never seen his act before but saw him at the start of the month at the eicc and thought it was superb. It's irrelevant whether his materials offensive or not, he'd be good at it regardless.

I like Frankie Boyle and Ricky Gervais.

Had to look up who Gina Yashere was though, never heard of, or seen, her.

Russell Howard would top my list of unfunny comedians, followed by Hugh Dennis and Andy Parsons (Mock the Week can be painfully unfunny at times).

Russell Howard. How that guy gets a TV gig is beyond me.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, vodka in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming, "WOO HOO what a ride!"

Sarah Milligan, Miranda Hart and Romesh Ranganathan - I can't watch any of them, all do my head in.

Agree with most others mentioned so far, although I do like John Bishop.

Got to admit I love Jack Whitehall. A League Of Their Own is one of my favourite things on tele.

I forgot to add Chris Ramsey.

I agree with most that have mentioned, but I do like Ricky Gervais and I did like Frankie Boyle but a few of his later DVD i watched were not funny, I do believe he is making a decent comeback but not seen any of his newer stuff. I think he really suffered with that Harvey joke.

That is probably the difference. I hate the show and everyone in it :)

Russell Howard is certainly the worst for me. Gina Yashere is also terrible... Ricky Gravis on the other hand is awesome! His shows are aweosme, although his laugh might get a bit irritating at some point.

Most female comedians (sorry, but it's true)

Almost anyone on Mock the Week these days, certainly the regulars.

Ellie Taylor was probably the funniest comedian I saw at this years festival, her show was very good.

  25. #25
    Michael Macintyre
    Alan Carr
Dara O'Brien (fine as a presenter.. not for me as a comedian)

I also agree re Frankie Boyle - enjoyed his early days on Mock the Week but was pretty disappointed in his stand-up.

Tom Allen is incredibly unfunny. I've only ever seen him on 8 Out Of 10 Cats does Countdown so maybe he's better elsewhere.

1st point I agree with 100% don't think I've ever seen or heard a funny woman stand up.

Amy Schumer is not funny on her TV show IMO. She has a very potty mouth on her.

She is truly dreadful. Unbelievably one note.
