That's disappointing. I only really watch the tennis because of Murray.
United we stand here....

I'm not surprised at this. He looked in severe agony as he walked to his car after his defeat at Wimbledon. I said at the time that I thought he should take the rest of the year off and I still think that. He should focus on coming back strongly in 2018 and try to get ready for the Australian Open.
As for this year's US Open, although I am a massive Murray fan and my interest is heightened whenever he's involved in a tournament, I am still a big fan of the sport.
However Murray's not the only big name to be missing from the tournament this year. Novak Djokovic, Stan Wawrinka, Kei Nishikori and Milos Raonic have also had to withdraw. That's 5 players out of the current top 11 men's players who have pulled out which is really bad for the tournament. There's still going to be a lot of quality players in the draw but the title will be a little devalued for me this year because there's so many players missing.

Not surprised at this, given that he has withdrawn from every tournament since Wimbledon. Hopefully he comes back in 2018 even stronger.

Tennis commentators are so fickle. They're wise after the event always. They had Sharapova winning and in control. Now they're fancying the other girl.
You wouldn't want one as a friend.

Del Potro beats Federer.
Didn't see that coming, especially after the big man had a gruelling match in the previous round. Now plays Nadal and who's to say he won't do it again?
