Only yesterday I randomly plucked Candy Apple Grey out of my CD pile to play in the car. Husker Du were hugely influential on both The Pixies and Nirvana. How sad to see him die at only 56.

Every gimmick hungry yob,
Digging gold from rock and roll
Grabs the mic to tell us,
He'll die before he's sold.

awesome band with great albums......let down by terrible recordings! influenced many bands and had a very unique style/sound, probably never got the fame they deserved but then again it could have been the punk band jumps to major label syndrome.
their highest billboard hit just scraped into the top 100 for a week!
