The worst? A BIG guy spots you in a bar, points the finger, and says, "I KNOW YOU ..."

Congratulations. I hope you enjoy it.
I've actually met 2 folk this week who are retiring.
First one had worked at the same uni for 40 years and was only 58 . He is planning on travelling taking in music festivals with his wife. He looked chuffed to bits with only 2 weeks to go.

Second guy was on his last day as an occupational health advisor . He had been there for 20 years and had previously been in the Fire service for 20 also.
    He looked very happy indeed

Burn your suits and bin your alarm and enjoy :-)

I've been retired a few years now - it's great ..... apart from the aging pains

    Depends who says that.

There are circumstances in which I would NOT want to hear that from my wife. Or my lawyer.

Or if your name was 'C. Rees' and you were asking the bank teller how much money was in your account.
