Come on, boys, this quadruple isn't going to win itself you know.

I'm starting a petition. It's totally unfair they made us play with 10 under 20's. Everyone is against us.

Who cares about the result. Their manager had the audacity to shake his first when they scored the winner. I've got the police on the line now.

    Unacceptable
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, vodka in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming, "WOO HOO what a ride!"

Poor first half, much better 2nd half. Hibs defence looked very ropey all night.
Matulevicious looked good. Fraser Murray looked good 2nd half.

Shows the difference between a team full of grown men and mostly under 20's. The youngsters hopefully know more about what they have to do to progress.

Cheers for the wee update. Did big Davie get anywhere near scoring? I think Lennon had said he was coming back from a slight injury. Did he look like he might be ready for a start on Saturday? Might be needed if the Compliance Officer penalises Stokesy.

Felt for the youngsters tonight. At 1-1 and deep into the second half they were bossing the game and looking for a winner. Unfortunately they left the door open at the back and Elgin got a corner. Delivered to the back post their big centre half headed it back across the keeper and into the net.

Overall, it was Elgin's first half and Hibs second I thought. Players to catch the eye were Fraser Murray and Adam Watson. Scott Martin buzzed about in midfield and sure loves a tackle Young Donaldson at right back has a Simon Murray type engine as he was up and down that wing all night

Big Dave was pretty quiet in the first half but very good in the second.
    This is how it feels

Cheers. Ah well, sounds like they put in a reasonable performance despite the result. Was Lennon watching?

Didn't see him there. I believe Gary Parker was though.

Agree m8 just have to check the result down south to nite 6 games with EPL team u20s only 2 won against lower league teams millions they spend on the best of everything but still struggle.

Imo all our youths over 18/19 that aren't in1st team squad should be out on loan at lower league teams would make better prepared to step in to 1st team. For me that's one of main reasons Stanton Harris etc and so many moreover the years have struggled to keep a place in team is the step up is to much to soon. Playing against youths same age doesn't prepare them. Most teams struggled tonight against lower league team so what must it be like against premier players.

Agree, all the top performers tonight were the players we already know about. Difficult for them to progress playing age group footy.

Agree with this and surely underlines the need for proper reserves football, that's where the young laddies really learn their trade

I know I know it's very early/difficult to tell but big Dave in the top team? Could he be a starter, is he an upgrade on Brian Graham, set to play role from bench in the main?
If so wonder if he thought with 30 (?) caps that what he was signing up for?

I think most of them are out on loan now tbh. Think its only the very young that are only in the Dev squad. Its now a policy to put most of them out on Dev loans.

Was quite surprised by Elgin, thought they would be older lads, with a few cloggers like Ross Tokely for example.

Fairly young team they had, as well as us, and the football on offer was pretty decent. Unlucky not to progress to next round
