Thistle was the league cup holders at the time after their famous 4-1 victory over Celtic [4-0 at HT]. We also beat Airdrie 2-0, Aberdeen 2-0 & Rangers in the semi [replay] 2-0, shame the sequence deserted us in the final! This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I was there - lived just up the road in an area called Bearsden - was at opposite end from where Shades scored - just remember a hoof from the left and it going in at the back post (memory playing tricks ?) - can't recall anything about the other goal - was Edwards banned or not signed at this point - I can't recall either - was only 9 at the time .

going to be pretty slim pickings for any walk ups if the want in any of the usual home stands as it seems to be just the end sections if you want to sit in a group.
As others have mentioned, the south stand with be overspill if needed so wouldn't imagine anyone wanting a match ticket won't get one.
Really looking forward to it, we still have the potential of a new striker announcement this week to boost sales further.

Am I missing some thing? Surely no way Thistle will bring that many?

I have a ST in the East and a friend wants to come to Partick game but checked online ticketing and no seats around mine free. If I call TO can they move my seat for just one game?

Thistle have a reasonably large support, much bigger than you'd imagine (I lived in Glasgow for a while and met quite a few).
A lot of that support has been 'dormant' for a long time as they've had nothing much to shout about but maybe their good form, and being in the top league, is helping them come out of the woodwork.
Personally I'm all in favour of an alternative for the decent citizens of Glasgow to the ugliness of the other two clubs.

Looks like it should be a very healthy crowd! Along with a few from Thistle and some more to be sold this week and on the day, there's no reason we cant hit 18000!

it will be a home stands sell out by Thursday I reckon, with maybe another 500 to 1000 in the South, so I'm going for 19100.
