Played more prestigious courses than Nairn Dunbar, but used to be a country member there when we had family living there. Miss it badly now that I no longer play there, love the course.

The past 6 years my golf has been very frustrating. Spending 5 years away at Uni I hardly played and my handicap jumped from 7 to 11. This year has seen a lot more golf played but I still tend to have the odd wild shot. Numerous times this summer I'll be good for 15/16 holes but then there will be a double/triple chucked in as well. One time was about 9 over for holes 1-3,17-18 but 2 under from 4-16. So need to cut out the silly holes, slowly getting there...

Not great - playing off 15 (was as low as 11) keep finding trouble off the tee - very inconsistent.Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, vodka in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming, "WOO HOO what a ride!"

Favourite 3 I've played - King's course Gleneagles, Duke's course St Andrews, Lundin Links.
Course I'd like to play - Old Course St Andrews.
Worldwide course I'd like to play - Sawgrass. Used to love playing on the computer when I was a kid, it would be great to play it in real life. The 17th would be an experience.
Favourite pro golfers - whoever my money is on (I have no loyalty or preference in golf).
Lowest round ever - 80 round Torphin Hill about 15 years ago.
Golf like now - hit and miss. I haven't played anything like as much as I'd have liked over the last decade. I haven't played much as an adult, full stop, so I've never been a member anywhere or had an official handicap. Unofficially I probably play off about 18. Golf has always been a mixed bag for me, moments of inspiration mixed in with some frighteningly bad stuff.

Just as it has been for the last 40 years, long game OK, short game “iffy”. Still waiting for my first hole-in-one. Beginning to get hopeful that if I could putt like Jordan Spieth - just for one round - I might be able to go round in my age or better !
