    Justine Diamond shooting

While the incident itself beggars belief, the fact the the officer responsible has the right to refuse to speak to investigators is even more baffling, to me anyway.

    How can that be right?

As things stand, he hasn't been charged or even arrested for any offence.

I'm assuming he will eventually be arrested (he certainly should be) then his obligations will somewhat change.

He will continue to have the right to silence.

Is this the one where he had a body cam, but ideas turned off? If so, what's the point?

I've only done a little reading up on this, am I right in saying she no weapons on her, or it's not been reported she had any?

She had reported a crime in an alley (potential rape) and after a long wait, and maybe second call to police, she seen they had finally arrived in the area. I think she went out in pyjamas at that point, unarmed, and approached the driver. The passenger police officer then shot her.
I'm sure the driver police officer commented that he was absolutely shocked at what he'd just seen.

Not sure if any of that is out of date, but that's how it was reported on a Canadian news station in Cuba.

Pretty shocking by the sounds of it!

Yeah that's what I know of it too. Just wondered if it was possible she was holding a weapon, then the policeman has only saw that and panicked. Which wouldn't make any of it ok, of course, just wondered.

Sorry, Easty, I thought I'd replied earlier, but it didn't post.

She was unarmed and in her PJs.

    Shocking.
