Sadly, mate, you are wrong. They are all very good examples of Homo-Sapien (cue being reported by some sad, jambo loser for calling him a homo.)
    Classical scholar here.

Homo sapiens is Latin for "wise man". I'd therefore disagree with your suggestion

I'm surprised anyone reads the EEN, it's *****. Not read it in about 7 years.

I even used to get it posted to me down here but its barely disguised pro Hearts agenda (particularly around their administration and subsequent attempt at rebranding) lost them 4 regular paper orders in Edinburgh and my copy went with it. Not really the best way to find out what's happening in the real world up there now anyway.

Shan paper and the comments section is a cesspit of the very weirdest Hearts fans that live on our planet.

The EEN and Hootsmon did have some great reporters/writers back in the day.
I worked in The Scotsman on leaving school (mid 60s) and met greats like Stewart Brown and John Ayres who were the EENs main football writers/reporters for many years.
Stewart was a good Hibernian, too.John leaned towards the dark side of the city.
Both these men worked hard for their stories.
Pre internet of course and they had to get off their bums to get the scoops/stories of the day.
Stewart was held in high regard among sports writers and at ER.
Its said that he sometimes recommended players he watched to the club.
A kind of freelance scout. He also travelled with the team during those great European adventures.
I always looked forward to his reports/stories,particularly in the Pink news on a Saturday (if we won)

When I used to go onto the EEN-forums, there was one who was a particuarly touchy, Jambo welt - 'Baldric' - got me banned because I addressed him as 'Baldpric' !

Used to see some of them when I drank in 'Jingling Geordies' and the time when George Best played for us must've seen a huge increase in their expenses - Champagne was the new lager !

Football part is flooded with weird yam types that even kickback won't take.

Either that or it's allisbarrys multiple personalities having a go at each other and Hibs.

    Best avoided.

It's been like that for a long time but has sunk to a new low of tedious childish yam drivel. In their own wee world where Cathro is a bone fide football coach they think they are hilarious. They must lead such fantastic lives posting endless nonsense in sites which aren't even about their team. Obsessional, delusional, lunatic, behaviour. I'm sure they would keep shrinks in jobs for years.

That about sums them up. Apparently thrashing Elgin 1-0 is a sure sign they will have a tremendous season. Dearie me talk about complete fruitcakes.

Bang in the money re-the old days, Mick. That's when those papers had journalists rather than "reporters".

I've never understood why they allow the comments section.
Most of it was vile anytime I dared to have a read.

Clicks, means they can charge for advertising, the more clicks the more they can charge. They don't give two hoots about the quality of the contents or who posts.

Eh? It's a personal opinion read what you like. The Dandy and Beano are a better and more factual read though should try it.
