Motm in the 2007 League cup final for me.Surging runs and at least 3 assists. Most underated player of the 'golden generation' imo.
Would be delighted if this were true.

Jeez you are quicker than me! Was just going to post a thread up on this that I've heard that he is signing for us instead of Hearts.
Very pleased with this! 😎

Jeezo. Why is everyone so happy about this?
Did he not leave us cos he wanted to play for Rangers???

No inside knowledge but makes sense to me, money not likely to be an issue so probably between us and hearts.
If we really wanted him then there's only one winner imo.
Interested to see where he'd be played but I suspect he'll be a midfielder that covers a variety of positions when injuries and suspensions kick in.

Sounds promising! Quality player who can only be better than he was before given his experiences down south

Please oh please let this happen!!! He'll be a great signing! A composed player who at times looks like the balls glued to his feet!

This squad we are building is very exciting. Excellent players with a bit of experience. Can see us skelping a few teams next season.

If this is true then this is shaping up to be the best transfer window in my lifetime!

Where will he play?
I can't see him being signed as a back up to Sir David and I can't see Sir David agreeing to a new 2 year contract if he's going to be a back up to Steven Whittaker.
I know Whittaker could play in midfield and when he was with us it was always said to be the case that he was far better at going forward than he was at defending. However what role would he play in midfield if that's the case?
I'm certainly not complaining as you can never have enough good players and he would certainly strengthen the squad. He's still only 33 in a couple of weeks as well so he's still got 2-3 years left in him.
