Does GOC not count as ginger?

He's been a few things IIRC.....

Martin Boyle is also a contender. We've probably got enough for a subs bench now.

As for a goalkeeper did Simon Brown have a reddish tinge to his hair? I'm also thinking Tommy Younger but not sure about that either.

If he is ginger he would push Doyle on to the bench IMHO. But Keith is safe.

Would rather play with 10 than have Liam Craig
Christ what is it with some fans...

Yes he didn't have the best of times here but he still made a pretty decent contribution once we got rid of Butcher

He played very very well in the 4-0 against Rangers

Simon Brown is borderline. I don't think Lennon would consider him committed enough to the cause. He could easily pass as strawberry blonde, and I think Lennon expects more than that. But I am happy to be corrected on this.

    Simon Brown? GOALKEEPER?

Was he supposed to be a goalkeeper?

And PLEASE do NOT mention him in the same breath (so to speak) as the late, great Tommy Y.

I have it in my mind that Gordon Marshall may have been a bit gingery ....

    He was a decent keeper.

    I don't think Neil would consider him a goalkeeper. I certainly don't.

Jason gardner was ginger IIRC - pretty sure he was our 3rd choice keeper behind leighton and reid...not sure if he ever got a game.

There's some pictures of the late and very great Joe Baker on the Internet and in his earlier days I think he'd just meet the ginger standard? For this one anyway.

I'll never forget his game when he had dado prso completely in his back pocket. Was a shame he left.

Good shout on Gardiner. Definitely a reddish hair colour. Decent young keeper too...although apparently stabbed by an angry husband after being caught in an embrace with a married woman (just come across that story while trying to find out if he ever made a first team appearance!).

what other games did he play very very well in? Against part time Dumbarton when we won 6-3 and part time Stranraer when we won 5-3.

He was another who wasn't ginger though. Did a lot of folk used to wear orange sunglasses at games?

I'd definitely prefer playing with 10 than having Simon Brown between the sticks.

Or just give Liam Craig a pair of gloves and stick him in there.
