Sorry but that's wrong. He's already got better offers than Hibs on the table. One better offer from Hearts. I'm sure he wants a good deal for himself wherever he ends up but he's not chasing the coin.

Whether Hibs walk away withdrawing the offer on a timed out basis is another thing entirely. Seems to be one rule for some!

Anyhow, to get back on track: Whittaker, do we need him?
With a choice of Stevenson, Hanlon, Fontaine, Ambrose, McGregor, Gray and Forster already to pick from?

I like/rate Whittaker but bearing in mind the players we already have I'd much rather we were splashing the cash on 2-3 decent strikers instead.

Firstly, 5 of those players you list are centre backs - a position Whittaker does not play.

Secondly, there is no indication anywhere that signing Whittaker would mean we would have no money to bring in Strikers.

Not a priority signing, can't believe how hyped this potential return seems to be! I would say he signs or we move on. Give him a day or so. With all these suitors and offers Whittaker must grasp the nettle. Even when on holiday, life goes on and I'm sure he will be able receive e-mails or whatever.
