Surely to god he'd not be our first pick next season, we need much better than him as a first choice forward especially if Cummings is sold.
He could stay as a back up player, but if he is in the team at the start of next season, he's either improved beyond recognition, or we've failed to get in the right type of players.

Stay. I think he's a much underrated player, when Jace wasn't scoring he stepped up until his injury. He's been in and out the team and used in different positions since then but on the whole he's still performed and more importantly chipped in with some really important goals. Some players might have switched off the other night with the game almost over and the league won but he gets that all important goal to send us all home happy. We'll need good players in the top league and I'd rather not gamble on an unknown quantity when we have a great striker of the ball who is already familiar with the club and the squad.

if theres any chance of cummings going then it would be stupid to let keats go . he's the best finisher we have if you take cummings out the equation

I'd like him to stay but there's no way Hibs can guarantee him first team football every week especially if Cummings stays for another season.

Unfortunately that was his 1 out of 6 good games and the reason he's never played at a higher level than the championship, back up/impact sub at best. He's 25 now, how much improvement is there?

Good player but needs more self belief. Worth another contract without a doubt.

He's got an offer from Hibs. He'll now wait to see if he gets a better offer elsewhere. If he does he'll go and if he doesn't he'll stay.

If he stays then it has to be back up at most. The notion that he could actually replace Cummings (if he goes) is up there with Yogi believing he could replace Anthony Stokes with Darryl Duffy.

James is one of the heroes who made a direct impact along with Hendo when coming on as a sub when winning the holy grail.
Stay for me please.

Is it just me that's kind of frustrated he has scored 3 in his last 2?
Dont get me wrong it's brilliant he has scored but i can't help but feel annoyed as he clearly has the ability so why has he just started showing it so late on and not do it consistently.
is it cause the pressure is off? Because he is playing as an actual striker?
I think thats the thing thay that frustrates me the most, you can tell he has ability, good left foot and good finishing but he doesn't show it enough.
you have to think of his time over 2 years here and not the past 2 games.

This season, Lennon tried to mould him into a Commons type player, which he needs greater strength for.
