Stay. A class act who can score good goals. Needs to be more consistent but definitely keep.

I think he's a decent player but if we're aiming for a top 3/4 finish next season, I don't feel Keatings is good enough.
I would be more than happy for him to prove me wrong.

Stay.
Nobody knows how he will perform in the top division and he deserves a crack at it.

Good option to have as back-up, absolute wand of a left foot.
However I don't think he's good enough or consistent enough to be starting that many games for us next year. He can score some beautiful goals but his all round play can be pretty bad when it's not going well for him. His first touch is really inconsistent which causes him to lose the ball way too often, not having any strength doesn't help that either when he's competing with centre backs for the ball.

Stay. He'll only start when Cummings is unavailable (assuming he's still around), but he'll be a very good premier division sub.

Hard to argue with 2 goals and an assist.
But for me he is very inconsistent and quite often the game can pass him bye.
Maybe playing as a striker would make a difference.

He's not good enough to start games so I can see him leaving. He would be falling further down the pecking order next season. If we're serious about challenging for second place it will mean signing another couple of strikers. I wouldn't mind him getting another year, but I can't see it.
United we stand here....

Strange one this, Keats deserves a go at the SPL but his inconsistency frustrates, he'll be offered a contract as a back up and it's up to him but he'll give you 10-12 goals a season which could come in handy.

Teams who try to get rid of the players who get them promoted and completely rebuild always get pumped the year after.
New deal for Keatings, Holt and Fyvie please.

I'm not sure he'd do enough in the top league to merit a placing to be honest. A few flashed of brilliance but too often anonymous.

He drives me nuts, sometimes looks like he could single handedly beat anyone, other weeks he looks like he'd struggle to get into a 5's team at the pitz. Just for his goal v Falkirk i'd keep him.

If you give Keatings the ball and space to play in he can look very good from time to time but is very inconsistent.
In games where he needs to compete for and chase the ball he is hopeless, some of his attempts or non attempts to compete for the ball tonight were woeful.
We have offered him a deal which won't be bettered elsewhere so he will stay, how much he will play I don't knowLast edited by BSEJVT; 27-04-2017 at 06:22 AM.

Stay, if he wants to. We'll be looking to strengthen all areas for next season so he may well be a 3rd striker but all squads need depth and he's a very decent player.

I'd keep him as an option off the bench but only at the right price.
He's not quite good enough as a regular starter.

Been a back up/fringe player this season in the championship and barring a few occasions, such as last night, hasnt done enough to suggest he would be anything other than a fringe player next season.
Seems to have a good left foot, but isnt consistent enough.
Depends on what he wants for his career, he left Hearts as he didnt want to be a squad player, he joined us and all hes been is a squad player.

Go. Can't force his way into the team in the championship, unlikely to make his mark in the prem.
If we are to improve then either Holt or Keating has to go as they are the only out of contract strikers. We need at least one new striker and we also need to make room for Oli Shaw to play a few games next season. Do we really want Keating blocking his way?

I think he is worth another year and see how he does. if he is an impact sub so be it, at least he will be making an impact
