The English game has gradually been imploding for a number of years. Portsmouth, Blackburn, Coventry etc. None of this is particularly surprising.

The notion that a company is making questionable commercial decisions doesn't mean that they are defrauding anyone.

What.makes you think that they are?

Any financial dealings with that lot of cowboys would need to be scrutinised thoroughly. Check their debtor's list.

I may be wrong, but I don't think the current incarnation of Hearts has a "debtors list".

Certainly how the administrators dealt with and dumped Romanovs debts might leave a bad taste (albeit totally within the law), but I don't think Budge operates in the same way.

Not shocked by West Ham. The owners care about money and that is all. And with their connections- nothing will happen to them.

    She doesn't.
She won't let them run up debt and they have no lending facility or any "bank of last resort".

I thought Hearts owed Budge £2.5m at 6.2% interest?

They can't build up debt as no-one will lend them anything or give much credit.

I think that works out to be 0.7% per month.

I wonder if there is a "Big Sam" angle to all of this.

He has managed both clubs in the recent past has he not?

    Thank you

I've been posting that 6.2% for months and this is the first time anyone has picked up on it.

How does that work then, 6.2% yearly and 0.7% monthly? Roughly how many months are there in a yamathematical year?

Pretty crazy, I wonder what's going to happen to the clubs now.

The actual rate she charges is 6.5%, but both 6.2% and 0.7% have a certain quality to them.
