It's all over. Preston's just sworn an affidavit that he personally witnessed Neil eating Duff Jimmy's hamster.

Paul Barnes of STV just tweeted that Lennon given 2 game touchline ban, with further 2 game ban suspended. Hibs fined £750 with £250 suspended.

If that is correct, not a bad result?

Still think if it had been any other manager it would be slap on the wrist. Still a result I suppose as he's missing games that he can afford to and is back for the party and more importantly the start of next season.

Tempers flared after Oyenuga was dismissed for a foul on Hibs defender Jordon Forster in front of the home dugout.

Happy with that. Out for two nothing games and back in for the trophy presentation. Sorted.

Yes and effectively done and dusted by 5pm Saturday and no hang over into next season. Fair result. Hopefully we move on.

Lennon get's a 2 game ban, with a further 2 games if it happens again, and yet Duffy get a 2 game ban + 1 further game if he get into trouble later on! Plus Hibs get fined £750 with a further £250 if they transgress before the end of the year, while Morton get a £500 fine with a further £250 if they transgress before the end of the year! Please remind me of who went into the other teams technical area and caused all the hassle in the first place after their player faked a head butt by a Hibs player! You know the one I'm talking about....the one who got no further punishment because the SFA dealt with his case before McGregor's, who was cleared of Head Butting

    Well... I was wrong

To be honest given response of both Managers 2 games suspensions seems reasonable.

Assuming Lennon miss tomorrow and Saturday means he's back for last game of the season for trophy lift v St Mirren.

    Exactly.

Looks a fairly lenient sentence to me, albeit slightly less lenient than Duffy's. Expected worse at the time to be honest.

  24. #53
The SFA have played fair here in allowing Lennon to be in the dugout for the party. Good on them. Given his previous record we couldve expected worse.

Seems fair enough. Forecasts of a 5 game ban etc "cos the SFA hate Lennon" were well wide of the mark.

All hail King Rod. We shouldn't under-estimate having our own man on the inside.

Id love to know what all the fines and split profits from big games goes towards.....as it certainly doesn't get invested back into Scottish football that's for sure.

Like any regulatory body, fines go towards the maintenance of that body. I don't have a problem with that.

How much contact can the manager still have with his assistant and coaches if he is serving a touchline ban? Can he still deliver the team talks before kick off and at half time? Can he sit in the stands and send his assistant or coaches messages on his phone? Because his overview of the match will be slightly better from the stands and if he is still allowed contact, albeit indirect, with the bench then it's not necessarily a bad thing.

Surprised and pleased by the decision.

I was expecting at least a three game game ban with another three suspended based on Lennon's track record and Duffy's punishment.

However he's now allowed to be back in the dug out for the season finale against St Mirren which is surprisingly generous from the SFA. Not sure if Petrie has been pulling strings or if we went for the nuclear option of sending in Dempster as the defence lawyer because she wouldn't take any crap from the panel.
