I can see full AI refereeing in the near future. Multiple video cameras to cover the field of play and a cyborg as a referee. A ZX Spectrum with a GoPro mounted on a remote controlled Tonka truck could do a better job than some of our refs.

They could have Sir Killalot as the ref to intervene when cheating occurs.
