Really. Stokes may not be on massive wages at Blackburn but he would definitely be able to get a deal at other clubs in England for at least the same money he could get here, there is no way he will sign a pay as u play deal. He doesn't have a bad history with injuries so no need to sign such a deal. He may well end up at ER but not pay as u play, so yes it's pish.
Not a problem we'll know soon enough

I know what he's on and would be surprised if he sat on the bench for 2 year
I'm not convinced he will be on the bench there. He's more than good enough to get a game in that league.

I'd also expect Danny Graham to leave & Sam Gallagher has returned to Southampton so there's room for a striker or 2.

He told a good pal of mine at the Sean Woodburn fund raising game that the only way he'd be leaving Blackburn is if they paid him off.

It's a hell of a swing to go from I want a pay off to chuck it a way for the chance of a weekly wage and reduced one at that.

As another poster said, he's not got a bad injury record so why on earth would he take pay as you play?

I can see Stokesy signing for us but doubt very much it will be a on "pay as you play" basis.
The squad will almost be complete if we get him and the possible signings of Rocky, Efe, and Sercombe. We also still await news of Boyle & Fyfvie

He told a few people that . His pay off would be decent I'd imagine

We should have a look at Jack Grimmer. Ex-Aberdeen. Just been freed by Fulham. Has spent the past two seasons on loan at Shrewsbury. Defender. Comfortable on the ball. 23 years of age.

No wonder folk get disappointed when we sign people like Simon Murray when according to rumours on this site and elsewhere we're on the brink of signing Stokes, Commons and Ambrose. Living in dreamland.

Kris Commons is 34 in August and has this week stated that he cannot get up to full fitness due to a back problem.
Given this issue it would IMO be madness to sign him.

Stokes is on a big wage and will only leave Blackburn if they pay him off. They are in big debt so that is unlikely unless he accepts a cut price deal. Not happening.

Expect Ambrose to sign a 6 month deal. A top player who is at 28 in his prime.

Marciano deal will hinge on how much Ashdod want for him. Only 1 year left on his deal. We should try and get him on another years loan! Think a deal will get done.

Boyle and Fonts are in the bag.

Fyvie is the only player from this seasons squad still to decide on his future. After being a bit part player I fear he may go to Aberdeen or even Hearts.

Oxford player - Don't see why we would pay £150,000 for this guy when we couldn't put a deal together for Mallan. Would rather they put this money towards signing a prolific goalscorer like Boyce.

There will a few of the above deals officially announced towards the end of the week. Fyvie, Marciano and Ambrose are the ones I have my fingers crossed about.

    Have I missed anyone out?

I think Micheal Higdon would do well in the Holt role. Surprised to see he's at Bangor City in Wales.

There's a reason he's at Bangor City now.

Joe garner.. bit hit and miss and rangers but he's unbelievable In the air and will battle and fight every game for the shirt. Wouldn't be a bad acquisition at all if a reasonable fee could be agreed.

You would have to be talking about an unbelievable player before I'd hand over a penny to that shower.
Unless you mean we'd pay the way they do - monthly installments over decades and defaulting on the first payment onwards......

He would be great but we couldn't afford the fee and definitely not his wages.
I saw a rumour a couple of days ago that Preston would like him back and are willing to pay a third of what Rangers paid them for him

    Ah.

    Yes it does!

KC wants a coaching role - can we offer that within our structure?

Yeah maybe, but I don't think the thes would give us enough money for that reasonable fee that would make it worthwhile taking him.
