Probably the same as the SFA saw it... But lets keep this thread on track. Expect another ex Celtic striker to join in the close season.
    Samaras?

Please no ...... never rated him at Celtic, one good game in 5 and that was bloody years ago, whenever I saw he was in their team at ER I was always pleased about it ........ I cant imagine he has improved over the years.

Can I be honest, I'd love to see Watt at ER - I think Hibs would be a perfect fit for him and reignite his career.

Played out of position at Hearts but every time I saw him play there he was their best performer, often sacrificed (wrongly) in games by Neilson.

Great age to pick up his career and he's a nice lad too.

Out of interest what makes you think that ? when he has not held a starting position anywhere - including two spells at charlton

There is a question about his work rate off the pitch and (for me) a little lazy journalism about him. He seems a very affable guy and a bit of a joker, but so was/is Keatings.

I think he needs strong management, no doubt about that. But in Lennon you don't get the 'slack' that maybe Neilson and certainly a Cathro would give......Cathro I think has completely lost the dressing room at Hearts. I also think Lennon knows the right time to 'cuddle' and to 'give the hairdryer'.

At Hearts he was having to constantly play deep to get the ball, or wide because of the way they play at Tynie. Through the middle I think he would be devastating up here with the right attitude.

I have to disagree with this. He is somewhat inconsistent but I've seen him when he was unplayable.

Whilst I wouldn't dream of comparing him to Thierry Henry, he had that sullen disinterested look out wide on the left at times before springing into action.

Fredi Kanoute is not dissimilar in comparison. A bit inconsistent, a bit maverick, a bit unpredictable but always worth marking if you were on the opposing side.

Malonga-esque. I'd take Samaras providing time hasn't been a cruel mistress.

Samaras played as good a 45 minutes against us at ER one game, that I've ever seen - he almost single handed my
    destroyed us ...

Mercurial I think is probably the term for him ...

Getting linked with anyone over 30 that's kicked a ball for Celtic recently is getting tedious

I feel the same mate and it's getting to the point where it's not exciting and actually quite concerning imo.

I know it's probably just rumours but I hope Lennon has more sense than just rebuilding a team that was good in 2010.

I get excited when it's a bit unknown, or a promising youngster. Guys like Mallan, Boyce etc get me more excited than signing someone like samaras.

We all know Lennon seems to like an experienced striker. Samaras would fit the bill. Certainly wouldn't want him. Well past it.

Samaras would be a terrible signing. Well past his best.

    That old chestnut again

Utter tosh, and anyone who has watched Jason over the course of this season will see his overall play has improved no end.
You're seat must be facing Albion Road

Rebuilding a team is a bit different from signing one or two top class players though? I think Lennon has plenty sense, so maybe don't worry too much?

No one will dispute he has improvement to make, he wouldn't be at Hibs if he didn't and he's still extremely young. What is tosh is that the old saying "If he doesn't score he does nothing". He scores nearly every week granted, but to say he does nothing if he didn't score is utterly mental.
Did you for example watch the St Mirren game.?

    Absolutley.

its just when you hear us linked with

    Commons
    Samaras
    Maloney
    Stokes
    Ambrose

it gets a bit tiring haha.

    Add to that guys like

    Whitttikar
    Henderson
    Allan

its all obvious, hope we are being proactive in our scouting and not just looking at older players.

fwiw I trust Lennon and Dempster and awful lot and fully expect us to make the right signings and the majority of which are paper talk.

All of that being said, I would complain for a second if we signed 90% of that list
