    anyone used stubhub before?

I bought tickets for me and the mrs to go and see Radiohead in Stockholm on June 9th. Mrs off the bar is a freelance journalist and will be crazy busy reporting on the election so our nice weekend away is ****ed. I'm raging.

Ticket company say all sales are final and no refunds. I'm still raging.

I see a few people selling tickets for the gig on stubhub, just wondering if anyone has used it to buy or sell? I'm not looking to make a profit on them I just want my money back.

Any advice or tips with stubhub appreciated.

Anyone based in Stockholm want the tickets at face value?

I have bought from StubHub. They are official partners with Everton so have managed to get some decent priced tickets through them from season ticket holders unable to attend the game. Whole process was pretty smooth.

Have a look on Radiohead forums and Facebook. There will be pages, threads and FB events set by fans where tickets are exchanged and pre and after show parties are advertised etc. If it's sold out, you'll get rid of the tickets no bother. I'm heading to Stockholm in a couple of weeks for Depeche Mode and there's loads of stuff going on online.

    I use Scarlet Mist.

They market themselves as an ethical site, where people buy and sell at face value. Had a few good experiences with them.

i used viagogo to sell tickets that I couldn't use.

I don't agree with touting and the event was sold out. I put them on at face value plus charges and the went within the hour.

Viagogo paid quickly too so everybody was happy!

Had a look on there but there doesn't seem to be any tickets listed for any of the events.

Thanks for the responses, I stuck the tickets on stubhub (before going for a pint) for a bit more than face value just enough to cover their fees and get my money back. If they don't go there I'll check out one if the options mentioned.
Frazerbob hope you enjoy depeche mode I saw them in Spain a good few years ago and they were great, you'll enjoy Stockholm I saw Franz Ferdinand there 10 years ago, get a carry out for before the gig though as the price in the bars will make you weep!

StubHub are owned by AEG who own Staples Center, the StubHub Center and own quite a few sports teams. I sell my unused Lakers, Kings, Clippers, Galaxy season tickets and also any concert tickets I bought but end up not being able to use. It takes a while to figure out what to charge and there are fees which have to be paid by the seller and the buyer so whatever you set as the price, the buyer will end up paying a fair bit more. StubHub helps you set the price if it has previous data for the concert or game you are selling.

You are best to list your tickets by barcode or by uploading pdf of the tickets as most buyers like to have instant downloads. Many tickets sell at the last hour, especially some sports teams. I think that is due to prices being lower these days and people looking to wait for further drops. Some concerts are in high demand and will sell when you list at a reasonable price.

I sometimes charge a little bit more than I paid to cover the cost of my fees (sometimes you pay a fee when you buy concert tickets, plus the fee to sell on StubHub). You can see how much you get paid during the listing process so it's easy to set a price to recover just the money you paid. I don't consider that scalping.

I take payment by PayPal but I had to enter a credit card number as a way for StubHub to secure refunds to buyers if tickets are not valid. They send payments to PayPal after a few days. I mostly give my seats to friends when I can't go but I have sold dozens of tickets without any problems.

If all else fails, call the help line and they will talk you through it.
