We're more suited to the higher league so don't worry about it. For whatever reason these players can't break down teams who put 11 behind the ball. Your more open teams - Hearts, United's, Aberdeens etc, no problem.

This us why were so strong in the cup. Teams don't sit in and park the bus. We're pretty **** at breaking bus parking teams down.

We cant break down teams in the Championship, not exactly a ringing endorsement is it.

We have broke down plenty of teams and wasted chance after chance after chance.

Midfield non existent. Fyvie and Mcgeouch surely have to be considered.

I thought Morton came at us sufficiently to debunk the view that somehow, almost as if a gimme, that attacking wise we are going to be much better if we go up.

We have little by way of a cutting edge up front and logic suggests that defences will be stronger the higher the league.

No doubt whatsoever that we need to look to refreshing our attack in the close season.

If Boyle has shown more composure and picked out a Hibs player we'd have won comfortably. Morton were delighted with a draw

Agreed. Back four were fine but the rest of the team were pretty rotten.

Boyle has the potential to be a very good footballer but his crossing, passing and shooting are often so poor. He was past the full back half a dozen times today but every ball he put into the box hit the first defender or the goalkeeper.

If that's the case he'll never be a player

Exactly. He can beat a man no problem but his final ball is very poor at times. If he could improve on this, he'd be an even better player than what he is right now.

Again we have Bartley in a home game where we need to be get forward and have some cutting edge ..too much of the 2nd half he sat too deep nearly on top of the centre half's and almost every time he gets the ball he struggles to know what to do with it, we needed McGeoch on tonight he played well Saturday given he had been out for a while .there midfield wasn't physical ..Bartley playing means we play with 5 defenders and struggle to get enough bodies in or around the box !!
Saturday needs to be McGeoch and mcginn in midfield ...moving he ball quicker !! Up front we are far too static with holt and Cummings, must be a nightmare for midfield as we see ..when they can be bothered to work or come off defenders it makes,a difference but both don't do it often enough ..lots of reasons why we struggle in the last 3rd .... Poor runs for crosses low and high, poor decisions when players crossing, too many touches in around the box, poor decisions generally around the box, players shot shy !!!

Boyle assist / goal scoring record for someone as quick as him playing as regular as he does it extremely poor

Exactly. McGinn picks up the ball, looks up and Bartley is 10 yards behind him. Feel that this has been the root of our problems for most of the season. The midfield aren't linking up defence and attack. Leasing to balls being lumped up to Holt who can't win every ball he gets, and subsequently gets abuse.

Boyle at least got At and bet his defender most occasions tonight. It staggers me how nearly every cross is along the deck at the front post yet no striker makes the movement to get into that position.

When you're running full speed and see a further 5 opposition players and only Cummings and Holt in the middle it's near enough impossible to pick one out.

He needs more help and players putting in more effort in making movement for him

Compare it to Holt and see how they compare.

For what Boyle is his stats are not bad.

Morton are not a team that park the bus. We were poor.

Martin Boyle is a good lad and a fast runner and a piss poor footballer, in my opinion.
