Its a scatter gun policy they seem to have adopted. I doubt many teams in the UK signed 9 or so players in the January window. It harks back to the Mad Vlad days

Only one reason for it. They drew us in the cup.

you could argue potter tried the same approach at Utd. That didn't work out to be that sustainable.

I call their signing policy spray and pray. It has given them a lift but you'd expect that with 9 signings. I just hope we can give them a rude awakening on Sunday. I'd take the replay tbh. At least I'd get to see the game this time.

They lost a lot of kids at that time, including the lad Shaw that is scoring bucket loads for us in the u20's. He's a die hard Jambo as well.

This. They lost so many that their youth setup was completely ******, hence all the pricey imports until they get it running again.

It's possible. I did do some mental gyration on the question of the donations a while back. I eventually satisfied myself that it was "ok".

However, now that the original agreement with FOH seems to have been changed, perhaps not.

I'm about to leave the country for a month or so, so you'll have to make it up yourself. 😛

This is one thing that has always baffled me. Surely the donations should count as taxable income? If not, what is to stop every team in the country charging, say £50 for a season ticket and then "suggesting" that a donation of £300 to "Foundation of Hibs/Dundee/Partick etc" should be made. It doesn't sit right with me. Tax dodgers? I hope so.

Another fairly significant part of the transfer strategy is to bring in "grown ups".

    Wtf does that mean?

    This.

They couldn't care less what happens for the rest of the season as long as they beat us, some of them actually think they will go on to win the cup and finish 2nd in to the bargain.

    Curious wee things aren't they.

He has this ability to say something using about three sentences that any normal person could manage in one.

He's obviously a thinker and I like that. He'd be an ideal politician or a Graham Spiers type of pundit once he's a bit older.

I think most of the signings are from the agency that John Colquhon works for.

Hence the reason we must play Big Marv on Sunday.
