The Admin Team would like to give you all an update on out latest planned donation to the club, and more importantly how that money will directly benefit the club.
We met with George Craig at East Mains last week to have a chat about how it will be used. George is very keen that our money should be going towards things that directly effect the playing side of the team and contribute to their aim of creating first team ready players through our own academy and in his words "not for painting doors!" To that end we have identified two directions where spend will be made.
Firstly, Alan Combe has recently asked for the club to invest in some specialist goalkeeper training kit that is aimed towards improving reactions and helping them keep on their toes during games. The beauty of this is that it can be used right down the age groups and not just for the first team and having seen a short video of what it does we can see the benefits of it and we have agreed to fund it fully. The second part of the donation will be used along with our previous donation of £6000 from last year will be going to help towards the club's plan to firstly build new viewing platforms and then film every game or training session that takes place at East Mains. This can then be further analysed using equipment that our money will be used to purchase, tagged to individual players and be provided to them at each age group as their own personal clips from each game which both they and the coaching team can use for performance feedback. They will also be creating a specific area within the HTC where this can be analysed and viewed too. This is something many of the successful academies down south do - with Southampton used as an example - and they believe that this will give real tangible benefits at every level and as they seek to become one of the new streamlined academies in 'Project Brave' that the SFA are putting in place soon.
The long and the short of it is that we believe these things will help out immensely!
Between the two, it means it totals another £6000 that we are putting towards the club, which takes Hibs.net's total money donated to the club to over £70,000. This is an absolutely phenomenal amount of money, and it's down to our Private Members that we are able to do it over and above keeping this madhouse running for everyone chat all things Hibernian. If you would like to become a Private Member then please message myself or one of the other admins for details.
We hope that you continue to support the site, and we in turn will continue to support the club

£10 a year for Hibs.net is a bargain anyway but essentially we get another return for our money watching the team improve. Win Win. Well done everyone.

Great news and I love learning what the money goes towards. I will never complain about money going towards making our keepers better.

Well done folks, without your support and visits to the site we couldn't do it. It's great to be able to financially support the club like this.
