    The Exorcist writers death announced on Friday the 13th

    William Peter Blatty died yesterday aged 89 it was announced on Twitter today.

    I was teaching it today in my Film class....coincidence? Great story.

    Did you watch the recent tv series? What did you think of it? I thought Ben Daniels was very good.

    I wasn't aware there was one! No idea how I missed that. Is it on Netflix/Amazon? Was it any good? I did enjoy Bates Motel though: a worthy tribute to the original story.

    My own taste in horror films is more those excellent low budget ones like The Descent, Dog Soldiers and Outpost, although nothing will ever top The Wicker Man for me.

    It was a decent enough watch, it was on The SyFy Channel.

    Watched Dog Soldiers two days ago ... an unheralded masterpiece

    As for the Wicker Man ..... utterly brilliant film

    When they put him in, he wasn't actually dead yet.
