Sometimes something restores a little faith in humanity

Tiny moments of human kindness, but mean the world to others.

Touching stuff. What a truly horrible thing to happen during a night that should have been such a good one for the bloke.

Will look out for the applause in the replay, which I've no doubt will be roundly observed.

It's good to hear of the care he received at the ground.
But I have to say, texting someone to tell them their son has died?
Is that what people do these days?

They maybe tried phoning but couldn't speak to him if in packed stadium so had no choice but to send a message to alert him.

Yes I realise, there may well have been good reason, and I did not intend to criticise.
But speaking personally, I'd hate to find out something of that nature in that way.

"The first call was from eldest son Terry that Daniel, who lived in Surrey with his mother, was in intensive care at Royal Surrey County Hospital, in Guildford."

Given that he was at a match and, reading between the lines, he couldn't head to the hospital immediately, he could well have asked his family to text him if there was any further news - whatever it was.
