Sad news last night, 2016 can really bugger off, far too many celebrities taken too young.

I saw him a earls court mid/late 80s, he was very good live. my seat was right next to Boris Becker and his girlfriend at the time, tall black women with a real nice backside that she wiggled all night in front of me dancing to every song.
Whenever i have seen him on tv recently, i always thought he looked ill, sadly it seems i was right.
Yes he started off in a boy band, but he wrote some great tunes and sung some very good songs with other artists.
He will be missed.

53 is no age at all but he did look more and more frail each time he was in the public view since he had major health issues in 2013.RIP.

It's very sad, I can't say I was a big fan, but he wrote some truly brilliant songs, particularly Jesus To A Child and most of all Father Figure, a song that has a personal significance to me and i'm sure a lot of others. RIP George.

Clearly wasn't without his problems but his quiet generosity over the years seems to have been quite something.
PM Awards General Poster of The Year 2015, 2016, 2017. Probably robbed in other years
