mines finally went 'live' this morning, done a few speed tests and perfectly happy with 37mb now(talktalk stated 38mb max), anyone that gets a message that BT are looking at other ways to supply you it could be that you're on what's called an 'exchange only' (EO) line which I was https://www.scotlandsuperfast.com/wh...ge-only-lines/

I'm with sky at should be on 40 massive buckets a second :-)
I done a speed checker and was only getting 9 so called them up.
It turns out that your wifi is not a true representation as that in itself has to connect to the router.
The guy asked me to hardwire to the router and bingo 40 massive buckets a second.

He asked how many devices we had connected to it and to my horror , we had 14 devices.

What on earth did we do before the Internet ?

14 isn't all that much these days, between phones, tablets, laptops, tv boxes, smart tv's, games consoles, and a variety of others.

A wee bit late with this as the offer runs out tonight.

My contract is about to end with BT so I was looking last night. Got rid of my landline (never used) and signed up with Virgin on a fibre broadband deal at 19 per month for a year. It was reduced from 28 per month.

Just measured 210mbps download speed on https://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ which is a bit less than the 300mbps max.
