A complete twat but his natural talent at 9 ball was outstanding ! He won something like 10 million dollars for runnin out 13 frames of pool in a row.
Even guys like Jonny (scorpion) Archer are missed from this tournament in recent years but the pool on show is mesmerizing ! Not only are they snookered but they expect to (swerve) (jump) pot the ball never mind just hit it ! Love the Mosconi cup

9 ball is the best version of Pool in my opinion. The skill these guys show to stay in position is unreal. Seeing them clear every ball from 1 to 9 without missing is a joy to watch. And who doesn't love a Golden Break?!
If any of you guys have a console I highly recommend Pure Pool. Brilliant. Has all the different types of Pool and is highly realistic.

Went to a challenge match between my mate Karl Boyes and Earl the pearl Strickland a few weeks ago, put on by Karl at his new snooker/pool hall here in Blackpool.
Strickland beat a host of amateurs before the big match, then beat Karl 5-3 in what was a very good game, but a right laugh too, plenty of banter from the crowd and of course Strickland who's never afraid to speak his mind.
Those pockets are huge though, even i could compete at world level with pockets that big.

Posting from the train. I am going tonight.
Disappointed at the omission of Karl Boyes though!

How come Karl isn't in the team this year ?. Is it based on rankings or who wins the most tournaments throughout the year ?.. I think he has a very good Mosconi cup record and always shows plenty passion.
Looking forward to watching Jayson Shaw he was/is a very good 8 ball pool player

Back in 2003 I think it was I went to the world 9 ball championship in Cardiff. Earl the Pearl was there and kicked off big time with the referee. Came out with flowers and everything the next day trying to apologise!! Seem to remember it was free to attend as well apart from the final which was a tenner.

I'm sure he was playing Steve Davis the snooker legend and he was unhappy with the stick he was getting from the crowd where Davis was being cheered.
