What happened to tennis whites? Both guys look as if they're heading for a kip by the pool!

The court looks like a swimming pool too. Everything's blue!

The O2 looks like a fantastic venue and the attendance speaks for itself. It's one of these events that I'd like to attend even although I've never played tennis in my life.

Don't - it's not what is portrayed on TV.

It's simply a warehouse within a dome of other interconnecting (empty) warehouses.

A complete waste of money and it's simply sponsorship that's keeping the doors open.

Novak Djokovic is the first man through to the semi finals after he beat Milos Raonic 7-6 7-6.

Dominic Thiem beat Gael Monfils this afternoon.

That means that the match between Thiem and Raonic on Thursday will be a straight knockout for the second place in the semi finals from that group and Monfils is out.

Murray loses first set against Nishikori after the tie break. It's not been one of his most inspiring performances so far, let's hope he improves and quickly.

Once you hear the squeak squeak squeaking of their shoes on the floor it's difficult to think of anything else!

    Andy wins!

If Marin Cilic beats Stan Wawrinka later tonight then Murray will join Djokovic in the semi finals.

  12. #11
Wawrinka wins the first set on a tiebreak.

  13. #12
Wawrinka wins 7-6 7-6 so Murray will have to wait before he confirms his semi final place.

His semi final place is confirmed. It's just whether he comes first or 2nd in the group

    Edit - apologies you're right

    That's not the case.

A straight sets loss on Friday could see him eliminated.

That's even confirmed in the tweet you've posted.

Milos Raonic will join Djokovic in the semi finals, he won 7-6 6-3.

If all goes to plan tomorrow, Raonic will face Murray in the semis on Saturday.

Im just back home today having watched all Tuesday's matches and Wednesday's as well. I can assure you it's fantastic!! Love watching Tennis on the TV but seeing these guys in the flesh is incredible. The Murray v Nishikori match was brilliant!! Had 2 English bellends sitting behind us booing him which made me up the volume to support Andy! Go... You will love it!!

Murray saw off Wawrinka earlier 6-4 6-2 to confirm his place in tomorrow semis and he will play Milos Raonic in the last four.

Murray's victory also ensures that Kei Nishikori qualifies for the semis, regardless of tonight's result against Marin Cilic. He will play Djokovic.

Tomorrow's schedule has also been confirmed with Murray v Raonic on at around 2pm and Djokovic v Nishikori on at around 8pm.

    Anyone see Murray's match earlier?

I missed it as I was at the Hibs game but seems to have been another classic.

I'm running out of superlatives to describe Murray and his will to win.

I really hope he can do it tomorrow although it will be a big ask, particularly if it's against Djokovic and if he has had an easy match tonight v Nishikori.

    Mon the Muzza!

I watched it, when he went a break down in the second he sat down and looked like he was saying 'cmon Andy, what is wrong with you today?' He then popped up and won the next game on Raonic's serve to love. Was frightening after that. He seems to need that boot up the ass in big games that he is expected to win, to get him going. Hoping Djokovic either loses tonight, or goes deep into three sets.

I can't see anything other than a comfortable Djokovic win tonight. He's won their last nine meetings and Nishikori has only taken one set off Djokovic in their previous five meetings this year.

Djokovic is 4-0 up in the first set.

  24. #23
Djokovic wins the first set 6-1.

  25. #24
    Djokovic wins 6-1 6-1.

Not a great omen for tomorrow.

I worry about how Murray is going to recover in time to face Djokovic.

Yeah that's correct but since they've both got to the final, he can no longer match Djokovic's result.

Whoever wins tomorrow will end the year as world number one.

It's the first time in ATP history that this has happened.

That last point is a phenomenal thing, that the 2 of them can play a whole season and it coming down to the final match of the season.
