Strange tactics from Cardle. He’ll never keep this pace up. In fact that’s it all over.

Now time for the main event. Whyte to win after Browne starts gassing for me.

Browne is the slowest fighter I’ve ever seen.

Yip. Far too heavy and slow.

He can take a punch though. Just as well as he’s too slow to avoid them.

Yep, really scary that. Reminds you how brutal the sport can be.

Just as we say that he’s knocked out . That was a bit of a farce tbh, Browne wasn’t in any sort of condition to be fighting at this level.

I actually thought Browne might be dead for a few seconds there. Hopefully he's ok.

It made for very uncomfortable viewing.

Yeah, I kind of went from “what a punch” to “oh crap is he ok” in about 2 seconds.

My thoughts too, went down so heavily I feared for his safety. They talked about how well the British boxing board deal with safety and care of the fighters, yet I question wether he should have been allowed in there in the first place. Was in no shape at all for a fight at that level.

Yep he just slumped onto the floor face down and lay motionless for around 30 seconds, I genuinely thought he was gone.

I know very little about the rules of boxing but if he wasn't going to be prevented from fighting in the first place, I think he should have been stopped after about 3 or 4 rounds. He was badly injured and could barely defend himself from further punches.

I might be wrong and perhaps someone with more boxing knowledge will put me right but I thought that fights should be stopped when a boxer is struggling to defend themselves and I thought that was quite clear last night from quite early on.

At the start of the fight the referee tells both fighters to defend themselves at all times. Browne was just walking onto punch after punch. I hate to see fights being stopped too quickly, but Browne was putting himself in real danger last night, by being so unfit and not trying to defend himself. I’ve seen really quick fighters adopt that style, and use speed to slip punches, but I’ve never seen someone as slow as Browne do it.

    It was a real mis-match.

I think Hearne is a total cowboy, there have been Tom's of fights over the last few years where his promising fighters have been chucked in against no marks, usually with some spurious record behind them, who are little more than cannon fodder when it comes to fight night.

That guy was in no shape to fight at the level, but by going him up and letting Whyte do some serious damage to him, Hearne has hyped up his fighter and the circus goes on.

Believe it or not he is a former world champion.

His age and inactivity were clear to see in that fight but he is an ex world champion (albeit won in murky circumstances) and was unbeaten in 25 fights with 22 knockouts so it was certainly a decent fight on paper.

To be to fair to Hearn when he signed the fight months ago he has no idea or control what shape Browne is going to turn up in come fight night.

It's the responsibility of the fighter and his trainer to turn up in shape for a 12 round fight , not the promoter.

Decent undercard for the Joshua Parker fight this weekend.

It’s looking that way sadly. There’s no way they’d be offering refunds if it was going ahead.

Connor Benn takes another step forward tonight. I still have my doubts about how far he can go, but like his dad he’s good to watch.

I love watching Tommy Coyle. I’d love to see him win a title. He will probably come up just short tonight again though.

10-8 round for Coyle, he was losing that round before the knockdown.

Go on Tommy, finally he’s a champion. Great stuff, it shows how many good match ups there are in the domestic game.

Good fight that, Dodd has done well for himself for someone with limited ability bit Coyle was just too good
