Those 70s glory days. Hard to beat any of the WC Finals in that decade. And you'll NEVER beat THAT goal!

The reason many of us think that Maradona has one up on Pele as the greatest ever player is because without Maradona Argentina would probably not have won the world cup in 1986 but in 1970 Brazil probably still would have won the world cup even without Pele ............. one of the main reasons for that is that that team had brilliant players like Carlos Alberto.
RIP Carlos, a true legend of the game.

Watched the final at a friend's house as we didn't have a telly. Spellbound as you would expect. Just brilliant to watch and Carlos Albertos goal just topped off an amazing performance. What a team and the captain was some player.

Just watching that clip brings back the memories, 9 years-old and was really my first World Cup - that Brazil-team, the 'crackling' commentary (similar to that of the early 'NASA/Apollo' commentaries) - RIP a great player !
