Own goal in football will at some time be the top scorer for every club and national team.

Kenny Dalglish as far as I can see has 30 goals, own goal has scored 21.

In England it's much closer with Rooney on 53 and own goal is already the second highest scorer with 50.

I'll let some Hibs stats nerd ;-) give us the Hibs figures.

All modern thoroughbred horses can be traced back to only 3 stallions, the 'foundation stallions'. The Darley Arabian (about 95% of modern racehorses can trace their Y chromosone here), the Byerley Turk and the Godolphin Arabian. On top of that about 90% of all thoroughbreds alive today trace to only 27 stallions from the late 18th and early 19th century, that jumps to 96% if you add a 28th named stallion.

Depending on your viewpoint horse racing (and other equine sports) is either a triumph or a tragedy of selective breeding and really is as clear an example of humans manipulating nature as you will see.

It's because gold is measured using a specific system (the troy system) where an ounce is heavier than the everyday ounce used to weigh other stuff.

Ok, fair enough but it sounds like a con set in place by the gold industry.

There is a whole debate on this, it also has more paint than others which could make it heavier ;-)

That confuses the hell out of me. If we can't communicate with these organisms how do they let us know that there are colours we can't see?

We know there's colours we can't see already. What we see is known as visible light, but there's other light that we don't see like infared, ultra violet, x ray, microwave etc.

Yes I know that but how can we assign colour to something we can't see?

Sorry I get you now. I'm not really sure if it's possible to have other colours that we can't see, unless it can see in one of the other light spectrums.
