Is that not the same thing? I thought that night vision goggles used thermal imaging to allow you to see infrared light. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Thermal imaging uses differing temperatures to create an image and is particularly useful when vision is impaired by smoke, fog or bad weather. There's no hiding from thermal imaging.

Or you could just ask your neighbours to leave their curtains open at night to make things easier all round.

The Pacific Ocean is west of the Atlantic but to get to it through the Panama Canal you travel eastwards. (Southeast to be specific).

When Spitting Image needed a puppet for Jesus, they made it from their puppet for Mike Rutherford from Genesis (from the 'Land of Confusion' video).

The various Toblerone reference on the MB reminded me - there's a bear hidden in the Toblerone Matterhorn picture because it s made in Bern which translates as city of bears.
There's also an arrow in the Fed-ex logo.

On a similar note, Homer Simpson's hair and ears form the letters M and G - Matt Groening's initials.

This isn't actually useless but rather is something very interesting I found out due to a work related query today and is something to bear in mind when making consumer choices.
Of the 157 commercial composting facilities in the UK not a single one will accept plastic alternatives marketed as compostable. These items will only compost in very specific conditions (70 degrees Fahrenheit and 75%+ humidity), put these in a regular garden compost bin and they will do nothing. About 96% of this stuff is currently ending up in landfill or dumped at sea where it degrades at a rate comparable to regular plastics. Consumer and retailer conscience is currently miles ahead of the facilities available in UK and that will remain so for a few years yet.
It's worth considering that a recyclable and/or reusable plastic might currently be a far, far better option than some of the 'guilt free' alternatives.PM Awards General Poster of The Year 2015, 2016, 2017. Probably robbed in other years

On the logo theme, FedEx have a great one in their logo where there is an arrow in the dead space between the E & the X depicting moving forwards - again as someone said, you'll never stop seeing that one now!

TBH, I'm not 100% convinced that the arrow was intentional. Might have been a "hey, look what I've just noticed" by the designer after the fact.Last edited by snooky; 13-07-2018 at 02:31 PM.
